Past Event:Bridging Continents: Comparative Cooperation Processes Between the European Union, Africa, and the Americas
On Thursday, 19th June 2025, the UG Centre for Latin American Studies, in collaboration with the Spanish Section of the European Languages Department, held a seminar titled “Bridging Continents: Comparative Cooperation Processes Between the European Union, Africa, and the Americas.” The session took place at 11:00 am at the Centre for Latin American Studies Conference Room .
The seminar focused on presenting the various means of cooperation within the European Union’s policies in relation to the Latin American and African continents. It explored the origins of these relations, their historical evolution, and how they continue to develop in the current global context.
The speaker was Dr. César García Andrés, Visiting Scholar from the Department of Modern and Contemporary History of America and Journalism at the University of Valladolid, Spain.
