PAST EVENT: TOURIST MARKETING: SPAIN IN PERSPECTIVE
The Centre for Latin American Studies, in collaboration the Spanish Section of the Department of European Languages, held a seminar on “Tourist Marketing: Spain in Perspective” on Tuesday, 22nd July 2025. The guest speaker, Dr. Marceliano Serrano from the University of Valladolid, Spain, explored how tourism marketing uses culture, identity, and digital tools to promote destinations.
He also emphasized sustainability and collaboration in destination branding. The seminar was moderated by Dr. Charles Didier Noa and attended by students and tourism enthusiasts. Notably, the Director of the Centre, Prof. Benedicta Lomotey, was present to support the event. The session encouraged academic exchange and shed light on Spain’s innovative strategies in tourism promotion.
