Past event : AFRICA, SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY: PRECURSORS AND CONTRIBUTION TO WORLD CIVILIZATION
The Africa, Science, Technology: Precursors and Contribution to World Civilization Seminar was successfully hosted on Friday November 29 at the Cedi Conference Center. The seminar started with an opening address from Dr Joana Boampong. The chairperson Hon Kojo Yankah then gave a short speech to set the ball rolling on the seminar. The Colombian Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Dr. Daniel Garcés Carabalí also gave a short speech, introducing the keynote speaker and providing some background on the purpose of the seminar.
There were multiple performances featuring traditional dances from Colombia and Ghana by the Ghana Dance Ensemble and there were singing, poetry and dancing performances by the Spanish Club at the University of Ghana. The keynote speaker Dr Ferney Quiñones Sinisterra gave his keynote address on the topic Africa, Science, Technology: Precursors and Contribution to World Civilization. It was a very interactive session featuring input and questions from the audience. The chairperson gave the closing remarks and the seminar was brought to a close.
